Thoughts and ambitions

Hear the thoughts and ambitions for the construction of Classic Car House in Kgs. Lyngby told by the 3rd and 4th generation after the founder K.W. Bruun. See the big dreams come true as we follow the project's impressive journey from idea to groundbreaking and the transformation of the building month by month.

"Classic Car House will be a natural extension of our passion for cars and the cultural heritage and design history of which the car is a natural part. As a family-run business with a long-term perspective, we also see this new initiative as a long-term contribution to cultural life and tourism in Kgs. Lyngby.

We want to help preserve the historic buildings and cultural heritage and bring the old crafts to life in a vibrant house with a variety of activities for the public. We look forward to bringing life to a place that has long been closed off to the public."

- Maria Bruun-Lander, Chairman of the Board in K.W. Bruun & Co.

"It has long been a dream of ours to create an audience-oriented, vibrant experience universe and gathering point for everyone with a passion for classic cars and our shared cultural heritage related to them. A place that appeals widely. The goal is to excite, enlighten, entertain and, not least, bring together young and old alike. Here all boundaries are blurred, as it's the cars and experiences that take center stage, not who you are and what you do. The place will also have a café and the opportunity to host various events such as conferences, product launches and celebrating birthdays, weddings etc. in a unique setting."

- The late Anders Bruun, former Chairman of the Board of K.W. Bruun & Co.

Chairman of the Board Anders Karl Bruun
13.11.1953 - 20.09.2024

On Friday, September 20, Chairman Anders Karl Bruun passed away peacefully after a short illness. Anders was much loved by many around him, and the family is deeply saddened by the sudden and untimely loss.

Anders Karl Bruun began his impressive career at the age of 17 in 1971 at K.W. Bruun, then known as Interdan. For the past 21 years, he has led the K.W. Bruun Group as active Chairman of the Board. Bruun Group.

Anders was a very special person who, with tireless dedication and good business acumen, shaped and lifted K.W. Bruun to become one of the largest privately owned car importers in the Nordic region. Anders dedicated his entire working life to K.W. Bruun and managed to develop the group from one division to five divisions, create 900 jobs and initiate tremendous growth on both top and bottom line. Anders was incredibly proud of K.W. Bruun and its many talented employees, whom he often spoke highly of. Like his grandfather, founder Karl Wilhelm Bruun, Anders held decency close to his heart and built both long-standing working relationships and close friendships based on trust and personal integrity. Among those who could call themselves Anders' friend, he was known for his great thoughtfulness and generosity, which always came from the heart.

He had a very special partnership with his daughter Maria Bruun-Lander when she joined the group in 2005. Together, they were a strong duo who ran a loving, close and successful partnership right to the end. Their love for cars and not least Le Mans was unmistakable.

It was also Le Mans and the sport's ability to bring people together that inspired Anders' longtime dream, Classic Car House. It was therefore a great joy for him when, in 2023, he was able to open the doors to the project that he had worked so hard on for three years together with Maria and the board. For Anders, Classic Car House was the culmination of many years of passion for classic cars and the associated cultural heritage, and it was important to him to create a meeting point and a community for everyone.

Anders' passion and spirit will always live on throughout the group, where his dedication and resourcefulness were an inspiration to many.

Anders leaves a huge void for his family and everyone who loved him.

Glory to Anders' memory.
